memorizing a massive list of authors and their works for quizbowl (too nerdish for you [not that there is anything wrong with that-I am one]? you are on your tumblr dashboard and/or reading an obscure mixed media blog right now [as you should, this stuff is quality] so don’t be judgin’).  But this is honestly one of the most gratifying and coolest  experiences (as far as independent research goes) I have had….well maybe not, but it is gratifying.  Now call me a cheater because I am using wikipedia to research, but I am kind of using wikipedia to research each author, and then research the work to be memorized, and then 3 other works by the same author.  It is a system, and it has been tons fun.  It has sent me down many a rabbit hole, only to come out in the same place I started with a deeper understanding and all that technojazz.(what a plug?)…to conclude [as I must] with a cheesy zinger, knowledge is power….and I love implementing brackets and parentheses into my posts, by the way.  takes the place of footnotes, in a sense.
