My definition of irony: the urbandictionary definition of postmodernism, which tears apart the idea of people creating their own truth and meaning:

5. postmodernism A pseudo-intellectual excuse to do whatever the hell we want to do without respect to any immutable principles of time and space.

My better definition of irony: maybe I’ll post my definition.

A sarahneff reblog.

I plan to start dropping “modernist” and “postmodernist” in as many irrelevant contexts as possible (thanks, Biblical Worldview!):

  • Dude, screw trig/stat! Who needs that modernist crap?
  • Whaddya mean my “paper is late”? Be more postmodern about it, Miss Howell!
  • I tried to argue with him, but he kept using all this lame modernist “logic” and “evidence.”
  • Mirrors are postmodern, bro.

One of my teachers is major anti- modernism.  That same teacher also grades in green, because she says it makes it seem less intimidating.  Really?  Green is a positive color and red is a negative color.  Now you’re blurring the lines of good and bad?   For the purpose of making us feel better?

I don’t know about you, but I call this thing extremely intimidating.  green.  The color of intimidation.
